A one-car garage or a single room fits a 10-yard dumpster. A packed two-car garage fits a 15-yard. A whole-house or estate cleanout usually needs a 20-yard, and a large home with years of storage needs a 30-yard. Cleanout junk is light, so volume, not weight, decides the size.

What cleanout items cost extra or can't go in?
Mattresses, box springs, tires and Freon appliances like refrigerators and window AC units cost $50 each in a cleanout dumpster. Paint cans with liquid, household chemicals, pool chemicals and batteries cannot go in at all. Furniture, clothing, boxes, toys and carpet are fine.
Not allowed in any dumpster

- Batteries of any kind, including car batteries
- Motor oil, fuel, propane tanks
- Asbestos and other regulated waste

These items need special handling at the disposal facility, so each one carries a $50 fee on your final invoice.
Will the dumpster mark my driveway?
Our drivers set wood boards under the dumpster's rails and rollers on every driveway, so steel never sits on your concrete or asphalt. Keep heavy items spread out inside the box. Avoid placing it on new concrete, septic lids or sprinkler heads.
How do I fit a whole house in one dumpster?
Fit more in a cleanout dumpster by breaking furniture down, flattening boxes and loading flat things first. Take legs off tables, cut up couches and fill gaps with bagged items. Stop level with the rim. Anything above it can't legally go on the road.
